Every now and then I have the sound of a firecracker exploding in my brain. What causes that?

I had radiation damage to the brain in 1990 (diagnosed at the Mayo Clinic in 1993). Could that be the cause?

If you smoke tree then it's probily your brain cells other than that you should see doctor because that does not sound normal.
