I'm like this... so a solution I say may not be relied upon. That said...
Learning to accept life as is... is my aim. Negative, positive, nah... it just is.

Hi there! My name's Kristen, and I'm a perfectionist too. No, there aren't drugs for it, its just a habbit, and to me, a bad one at that. Like biting your nails. It seems to me that your "perfectionism" is becoming depression. This isnt a good thing. Depression hurts. Im a perfectionist mainly when it comes to my singing. Ive won a few karaoke contests, but that was never enough for me.Finally, I just got so fed up of feeling like crap all the time and bringing myself down when my friends and family always told me I was a wonderful singer that I told myself,"You know what? I've got ppl who love me and are always there for me and that I'm a good, kind person and a great singer, I need to stop complaining and be happy with what I've got. because it's not gonna get any better than this. what i've got is great, and i better love it before its gone." So my advice to you is for you to find a good enough reason, wether it be friends, family. Something that's significant and meaningful to you and make the decision for that significant something or someone, and *YOURSELF!*;) to change and accept what you have. That's what got me through it. And if you find trouble doing that, TALK to someone thats close to you. Of course, i still have a FEW perfectionist habbits, but nothing like before. The advice i just gave you has really helped me and a friend of mine that i go to school with. So do yourself a favor and try it. I mean, what have you got to lose? :)

you need to find what makes you happy and live it. And lets some bad things happen... If you cant control the situation, just accept it and find something good in it

psychiatrists will DESTROY your life!
http://www.antipsychiatry.org
They ruined mine. There is nothing wrong with you. It's all in your head. PLEASE take time to look at that website. Don't EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER go see a psychiatrist. They have diagnosed me with everything in the book. There is zero wrong with me. They will twist your words and brainwash you. I am DEAD SERIOUS.
