i think what i'm feeling is acid reflux. It feels like an acidic feeling coming up to the top of my throat. I have been noticing it lately after I have drank alcohol. Does anyone know about this?

It's called indigestion which is hand in hand with acid reflux. If you want to continue to drink and keep noticing this, drink water before drinking and it will speed up the digestion process.

Alcohal is not easy on the stomach by its self so you might have symtoms but not the actually DX because of the alcohal you consume. Alcohal can distroy the linning of the GI tract, your doctor would prob tell you to stop drinking for a least a period of time to see if it gets better before they would be willing to give medication due to the fact that Alcohal turns most medication usless.

I have acid reflux and it started out a heart burn by got worst over time to the point that I was having it everyday and water would give me heart burn, I could not lay down because the acid would come up on me. A big sign of reflux is a sore throat and or loss of voice due to the acid.

The only way to find out is to stop drinking and see if it gets any better or if the alcohal is causing what you are feeling. If prob 2 weeks after no drinking and you still have symtoms go see your doctor, However the alcohal could have caused damage that is not so easly cured it could take time.

it sounds like it could be acid reflux, and if it is alcohol is one of the things that will make it worse, including smoking, spicy food
chocolate, etc.
I've had it for a long time and am taking nexium for it.
