Maybe it's for the ppl with feet fetish, the feel of real leather! And after spending thousands on a suite, would you let someone with boots or golf shoes on anywhere near the new leather sofa? I wouldn't!

Anyway I think it's more comfortable without socks. I get barefoot as soon as I get home from work, and I don't have a leather sofa either!

Because socks are just plain off putting. They are trying to sell you a sofa and instead all you can see are grey/white baggy saggy socks hanging of someones feet.......yuk

The subliminal message is that you can afford the sofa even if you can't afford socks.

Do you know, I've been watching TV for a million years and that fact has slipped my usually keen attention! I can understand them not wearing shoes, but not wearing socks???? How very weird!

I guess they come from an ad from a washing machine... these damn artifacts are good at abducting socks. ¿Where do they go? Who knows. They'll probably appear in another ad when they're spit out from an space-time wrinkle, i.e. Nokia, connecting socks.

Think its to give the impression of a cosy relaxed room were any type of footwear isn't needed when sitting on one of their sofas.
