Many years ago (23 to be exact) I flew up to Baffin island in the NWT for the "Land Of The Midnight Sun" tour. It was amazing.

The sun never really set and the hills around us always had that sunset pinkish glow to them. Frobisher Bay...as it was called back then, was a small community. The people that we met were friendly and it was interesting to see a real different view of the world.

It was cold (even tho' we were up there at the end of June), we had our winter coats on, but the locals were walking around in t-shirts.

It was a once in a life time trip.....I would highly recommend it. Amazing!

When I was a kid, we drove from southern B.C. up through the Yukon, into alaska and over to N.W.T.
I thought it was amazing so a few years ago I saw an add in a Paper for a hotel in Inuvik, NWT and moved there for 6 months to work there. I met a lot of great people.

Things are expensive though. The best way to see everything is to drive. You will see sights that you will never see anywhere else in the world. and make sure to put your toe in the arctic ocean at Tuktoyuktuk!

The U.S. presently would not have an exact resembling Yukon, NWT, or Nunavut. those could be resembling included prepared territories like the Alaska Territory or Hawaii Territory have been until statehood in 1959. The U.S. has included unorganized territories, unincorporated unorganized territories, and unincorporated prepared territories, and it extremely is form of wishy washy in spite of if to call those technically area of the U.S. the element being, that the respond to the question won't have been as obtrusive as some Canadians could think of it is going to have been.
