It is possible that the acid in the orange juice will curdle or sour the milk in your stomach. This of course causes and upset stomach and/or cramping.

It seems like I vaguely remember hearing that something in one of the two destroys the nutrients in the other, but I don't know if that's right. The acid in your stomach is much stronger than the acid in OJ, so I don't think it can be that the acid in OJ will curdle the milk and make you sick, because if that were the case you'd get sick every time you drank milk from your stomach acid curdling it. At any rate, I've drunk milk and OJ together in a smoothie, and didn't get sick from it, and the OJ didn't curdle the milk in the smoothie.

It depends. Orange juice has a lot of sugar, but without the high fructose corn syrup. Soda is just bad for your teeth and your waistline. Unlike orange juice, it has no nutritional benefits whatsoever. Milk and orange juice provide you with essential vitamin D and calcium. The bottom line is, don't overdo it. Have one small glass of milk or orange juice daily, and make soda a treat.

it makes you sick. well, it makes SOME people sick. I can do it, and im not sure why. I think it has to do with the acidic juice causing the milk to basically spoil inside your stomach. This cause you to throw up.

there is no tried and tested rule that says you cant but some people think that the O.J. might curdle the milk...and that all depends on the health and fortitude of your digestive system...there are alcoholic drinks that have both milk and O.J. in it...
