Dont cut it at all. You can have so many different hairstyles. I used to have long hair years ago and I used to change the stye every day. You cant get bored with long hair but you can with short. You can have a chignon, a bun at the nape of the neck, a bun on top of your head...You can put flowers round the buns, you can have it loose, you can have a very long plait with a flower at the begining of the plait near the nape of the neck...you can have your hair swept to one side...you can have it curled and thick...you can have it cut in a U shape...you can have lots of tiny plaits interwoven you can have beaded plaits. Can you do this with short hair????? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo so why are you bored with it

Have it cut a little at first, meaning about 3 inches. See if you like it, then keep going shorter as you get accustomed to it. Don't cut it all off at once, because you will hate yourself afterwards. At least this way, if you don't like it, your hair won't have very far to grow back to the same length. Although, I wouldn't cut it at all (only for the occasional trimming for split-ends). I have hair that's midway to my waist, and it's so thin and brittle. If I could have your hair, then I'd treasure it.

Get a couple of inches taken off and see how you do, then if you do ok with that, go a bit shorter. Don't go drastically from midwaist to your chin or something, cuz it's too much of a shock for your system.
I had a friend who had a saying that went
"The only time long hair looks good is on a pillow"
I think you should get it cut and try something new.

I had a friend who also had very long hair.
We all acted like she was the oldest in the group when she was the same age as we were. I remember she kept on telling us she was very tired of the long time it took to wash and dry and brush her hair, but her boyfriend loves it.
The point is- people keep hairstyles for right and wrong reasons. Hair will grow . If you cut it, make the hair a wig. If you keep it, you will have that timeless ol dotty aunt look that people get used to.

Don't make a final decision until you've thought about it for at least two weeks! Before you cut, try out some new styles... there are lots of cool up-dos that you can only do with really long hair.
I think you answered your own question: "I don't think I'd like it any shorter." If you don't think you'd like it shorter, why are you thinking about cutting it?

You should definitely cut it. It always grows back, faster than you expect it to. Also, hair that long doesn't tend to flatter your face, and is usually unhealthy. I used to have extremely long hair and liked it because I felt unique, but after I cut it I felt much sexier. You don't have to cut a whole bunch off- maybe you should try to cut it midway down the back as a first step to see if you can stand parting with the locks.

don't cut it off! I have long hair but not as long as yours. However, it does sound like you could benefit for a new style making the most of your lovely long hair but don't go short. There are plenty of ways to cut it to give it shape, texture and a new lease of life without the big chop. Go and see your trusted hairdresser and just ask for a restyle but still long. good luck.

well from what you put it sounds like you dont want it cut.
but if you do decide have it cut to dont have it all chopped off as you might hate it take it in stages.
just have about 3-5inchs took off it.
then it will still be long but it should be easyier to style as it will be shorter. and you will get used to it easier if you do it in stages.
and remember hair grows back!
