Depends on how religious they are. There are fixed times for prayer but not all pray at that time, if they have something else to do.

The prayer times established by the religion are at dawn, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset, and an hour and a half after sunset (two hours after sunset during Ramadhan). In Islamic countries, the times are published in the newspapers and in desktop calendars. I spent five years in Saudi Arabia, and in order to organize shopping (stores are closed at prayer time), I wrote a computer program to figure out the times.

I just answered a similar question. We Muslims pray at sunrise, around noon, in the afternoon, at sunset & at night. So they are at specific times, but not by the clock. Those are teh compulsary prayers. You can pray any other prayers you want though also.

i'll take one prayer for example
fajar - the dawn prayer ......... from the first dawn till the rise of the sun - so it's approximately a period of 2 hours (depends in which country one lives). Within this period, prayer has its true value.
