someone please explain the dvd+ and the dvd- and tell me which one is the best to use for recording movies?

I want to record movies to play on a cheap dvd player and I want to put my pictures off of the digital camera on to a dvd to play on a dvd player.. I have used the + but before I buy more dvds I need to know if that is all thats is wrong.

it depends which discs your player can record on. look where it opens for the disc to be put in, it should say it there.

dvd+r tends to be more compatible with stand alone dvd players
