We just went from a large entertainment center with multiple shelves to a large projection tv with no entertainment center or storage. Any ideas on things that I may already have around the house that would make for attractive, useable storage for cds, dvds, VHS, and Playstation games that were displaced when we moved the entertainment center out of the room?

thick paper, thicker magazine covers and pages stuck together and/or toilet paper tubes and kleenex boxes, old milk cartons: cut out what are going to be your shelves ( decorate before taping or glueing together by painting them different colours or drawing on them; hint: magaine pages and covers alrready have a design and theme) make pusts, cut slots into the posts where you want the shelf to go. (use the rolls as posts or legs, or rolled up magazines if glued and taped well enough... be creative and recycle... have fun with this

Wrap shoeboxes in a giftwrap that goes with your decor. CD's fit well in most shoeboxes.
