My ex boyfriend is getting on my nerves, Every day I see him because hes standing next to my car or at my work and I know its stupid but he scares me. When we dated he hit me and now that I've got a new boyfriend and getting my life back, hes saying he wants me back and he'll do anything. Im scared that he's going to attack me again and hes so strong, I can't do anything. All my friends at work stick up for me when they see him because they've seen what he's done to me but when i'm walking to my car all alone and he's standing there, I just want to cry and run away but I cant.

Go to the police. They'll do little to start with except ask you to log all incidents of intimidation but these can then be used to secure an injunction. Try parking elsewhere or car sharing perhaps.

He scares you because this stalking is threatening behavior. If he's hit you before, chances are he will do it again. I would suggest doing a number of things -- firstly, call a domestic abuse hotline. I suspect they will tell you to contact the police to file a report, but sometimes there a concern that it might escalate things, so get advice from the pros. Secondly, get some mace *and* take a self-defense class. It will help you to feel more confident that you can handle him if something happens. If you have a car alarm, remember you can hit the panic button to make a lot of noise and set him off guard for a moment. And keep the cell phone handy (if you have one.)
Also, I would avoid chatting with him. Discussions, kind words, long explanations-- they all feed his obsession. If you must address him, keep it to "I've asked you to leave me alone." and keep repeating it.

Go to the police. This is harrassment. They are taking this sort of thing more seriously these days.
you can apply for an antisocial behaviour order, or get a restraining order from the courts. Talk to the police about your options.

This is one of those times when size does not matter. Remember, the bigger they are the harder they fall. Don't let him get to you. You need to show him that you are a strong woman. If he says that he's gonna do whatever necessary, you need to do whatever necessary. Don't allow him to scare you. Be strong.

If he scares you that much and you fear your life you HAVE to get a restraining order against him. You should not have to walk to your car in fear. You need to do that asap. Good Luck hunny
