To what religion are you referring? It sounds alot like you're a wicca.. If you practice "The Craft" , GREAT!!! Blessed Be to you. As far as the "false" gods are concerned, my question in response is this... the Bible clearly shows God saying to Lot " I am a jealouse God "... jealouse of what exactly? Other gods?!! Why? If there is only one god there's nothing to be jealouse of. Furthermore, the first two COMMAND-ments refer to the existance of other god-forms, eg."Thou shalt have no other gods before me","Thou shalt have no graven images". If no other gods exist, why is it such a big concern for christians? The answer is simple. Acknowledging the existance of other gods weakens the position of THE ONE GOD of the christians.
Archiological PROOF of the pervasive worship of gods not connected to the god of Abraham is all around us and goes as far back as 5000-10,000 YEARS!!! The evidence of judeism only goes to 2500-3000 years. In short, babies get jealouse easy.
Satanism is a subject which raises alot of confusion for christians. While THE CHRISTIANS were killing villagers for not converting, they came across the star within a circle. Upright pointed, the star represents the four elements, earth, wind, fire, and water, with the upward point represents SPIRITUALITY ABOVE ALL!! The center of the star represents all of mankind and the circle surrounding it all represents the universe which is all encompassing. In an effort to defame paganism, to make it something to avoid and to vilify those who practiced it, christians turned the star upside-down and said it stands for the devil.
And no, the bible doesnt say our religion is a myth, in fact it acknowledges witches as very real. Unforunately, in Gods love, He supposedly ordered "Suffer not a witch to live.."

It does not neccesarily follow that your religion should be more true just because it's older. Indeed, we would expect to see most systems advance in concept as mankind becomes more intelligent. Modern surgery is better than bloodletting. Modern governments are better than fuedel monarchies. Modern science is more accurate than Aristotle's natural philosophy. Etc. Basically, just because something is old doesn't mean it's right.
I agree that there is no worthwhile evidence to suggest that the bible is a truly divine scripture. There is also very little evidence to support the idea that Jesus actually existed. I wonder, though, whether you're applying the same level of critical thinking to your own religious beliefs. How much evidence exists to support what you believe?

I believe that most religions offer truth and that each religion gives the opportunity to each individual to gain or obtain more truth and wisdom than what is shown on the outside. Religion can be used as a tool to help us to become more spiritual and God-like if you will. Or it can be used as an excuse for inflexibility and stagnation. It is the choice of each person how they will use it.
To me truth has no age or parameters. If you are sincere and active in your search for truth than you will find it. Jesus states, Seek and ye shall find. Knock and the door shall be opened. I am not quoting Jesus because I think he is the only source of truth. These words are just so fitting and true. Truth is a many faceted jewel.

I don't think you said what your religion is called, and I would like to know if you meant Wikka (however it is spelled). But I guess it doesn't really matter, and I have a feeling that your critics are so ignorant that they don't know anyway.
When it comes to your beliefs, history shows us that for whatever reason, other people would rather you abandon what you believe in order to adopt what they believe. I don't think it really matters what you worship or how many of them there are, as long as it is different from theirs.
I am Jewish, and I have learned a lot about the worship of nature, the sun, moon, trees, and all that jazz. Personally, I don't see what the problem is. You cannot deny the fact that we can see the power of mother nature every single day, in every corner of the earth, and even beyond.
We know the moon controls our oceans, which contain life; the sun controls how things grow or don't grow; and we know what happens when a really hard rain storm elevates into a hurricane and levels an entire state.
Don't pay attention to those bible thumpers. They don't want to see anyone living a happy life if they can't understand it.

You're an Wiccan and you're claiming that your gods 'were worshipped LONG before the Hebrews....'? I think you're stretching it a wee bit. Like a millenia or two. :-)
Read up on Ca'ananite and Babylonian religions. Always good to be better educated than the people you're arguing with.

What do you mean? As if God intended for no one in the world (billions of people) besides Israel to know His Word? I will keep you (Israel) and will make you to be a covenant for the people and ***a light for the Gentiles*** (Isaiah 42.6) So it says clearly here in Tenach (Jewish Bible) that the Jewish people (Israel) were supposed to be a “LIGHT” to the gentiles about God. And how else to know about God except thru the Bible? So you are in direct opposition to what God wants! He wants to entire world to know His word. And how did this come about? Through a Jew! Jesus was a Jew! The Bible authors (both old and new covenant) were Jews! Jesus has a Jewish lineage. Matthew and Luke both trace His lineage back through the Patriarchs, which is done in a typical Jewish fashion. Immediately you open the New Covenant to page 1 and you are confronted with the Jewish genealogy of Jesus, the Messiah!. It might sound a bit trite - but Jesus grew up in a Jewish family. His mother was Jewish, her name was "Miryam", the most common Hebrew name for a woman in that era. His earthly step-father was "Yosef". Yosef was the second most common Hebrew name in that period. The name of Jesus in Hebrew is "Yeshua". I must resist the temptation to go on a sidetrack to talk about that name, and the significance of Him being called "Yeshua", and how it eventually came to be called "Jesus". I will simply pause to say that "Yeshua" was a common Hebrew name in those days. In fact probably the fifth most common name. There were many other Jewish boys around at that time whose name was Yeshua. Jesus was also taught the Hebrew Scriptures. Jesus kept the Feasts Jesus kept the Sabbath Jesus was a Jew. His Ancestry was Jewish. His family was Jewish. His upbringing was Jewish. His own life's practices were thoroughly Jewish, in what He said, in the way He spoke, in what He did, even in the way He dressed. When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it, (Luke 19:41) He WAS/IS the Messiah of Israel and came to Fulfill the Jewish Torah. "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." (Matthew 5:17) And just to let you know - the 6 million Jews that were murdered had NOTHING to do with followers of Jesus. Those evil men were "Anti-Jesus" in that they did exactly the opposite of what Jesus taught. Yeshua taught "Love your neighbor" They did the exact opposite. So if you call them Christians - then perhaps you are so foolish enough to want to buy a bridge in Brooklyn that I am selling....

Gee, I don't know. If humans are better than apes then I supposed the new religion may have evolved from the old ones and are expected to be better. That is, if issues about the new ones such as corruption, incompleteness, edited are resolved within the premise of absolute truth.

Did God make a religion? God is older than religion, so that basically throws religion out the window.

therein lies the weakness of your belief system when it is directed at so called gods who have never had contact with humanity in any concrete shape or form to indorse their god status, false gods are created by human superstition and myth and only the God of Jesus has mad contact with humanity, and by the way th devil is a creature and therefore not god.

Because many Christians are afraid of trying to cope with the fact that people are happy with their own religious thoughts and feelings that might be different than theirs.Calling your religion "Mythology " makes them feel more secure in their religion.
