For starters you should take a class in writing because your additional information was confusing at best. It was difficult for me to understand whether you are for believing in God, and you think science is perverting religion or vise versa.
OK, lets take science and use that as an example. For instance the Big Bang Theory (I'm going to assume you know what that is). Ask the question, "where did the great big ball of matter come from that exploded and created the universe?" A scientist will tell you that it (the universe) has just always existed.
There is no proof of that so therefore you just have to believe in the explanation making it in a sense religion.
Well, believe it or not but that is the same explanation that Christianity (and many other religions) gives. That God is self existent and has just always been there.
Which makes sense think about it. How would existence even be possible? You would have to continually ask, "well what put that there, and what put that there that put that there". The explanations would never end it would be infinite. Therefore there would never be a beginning making it impossible for any thing to exists at all. Therefore either the Universe or God being self existent, and always being there is the only possible explanation.
Since there is no proof that any of these scientific theories are FACT (only evidence that scientist say supports their idea not factual proof). The very fact that you have to “believe” in the Big Bang Theory gives it a religious characteristic making believing in God no different from believing in the Big Bang Theory.

You're absolutely correct. The challenge "prove there is no god" is a challenge to prove a negaitive. That they could not prove the non-existance of the Great Pumpkin or the Tooth Fairy is not proof that they exist. The burden of proof is on the believer, not the skeptic.
People become religious for one of 10 reasons:
1. Because their family and others around them told them they should be, as they were told as children, and they don't want to risk disappointing them.
2. Because they are too weak-minded to stand on their own two feet against peer pressure and emotional terrorism.
3. For social and/or economic advancement.
4. They are so emotionally and intellectually damaged that they believe they are incapable of controlling their own situation and destiny. Of course, they are (except in rare cases caused by some mental incpacity) capable, but it's just easier to pass the buck to some goblin in the sky.
5. They are incapable of accepting responsibility for their own failures or gratification from their successes.
6. Insanity.
7. They haven't the intellectual capacity to understand the language of their religious texts and accept the interpretation of those they believe to be more intelligent, accepting simple answers to complex questions.
8. They have discovered that any religion can be distorted to support any agenda, no matter how hollow or twisted, providing them a shield against criticism and justification for the unjustifiable.
9. They enjoy the rituals and lose the ability to make the distinction between entertainment and doctrine.
10. Religions are the easiest clubs in the world to join. Those that wouldn't be accepted into any other club, organization or movement can always find a place in one religion or another.

As far as proof, I've had personal experience with "something" supernatural. I've had the experience of being in more than one place at the same time. I've "seen" things happen when I was physically elsewhere. This is "subjective" proof of the supernatural.
Do I have "objective" proof? No. Does this invalidate my subjective proof? Not at all.
I'm not a Christian, so I don't believe in the same God. For me, a god is merely an aspect of what I call "Great Spirit". The fact that I don't have "objective" proof, something that I can hold in my hand to prove to you that there IS a god doesn't disqualify what I hold as proof for myself.
You, on the other hand, don't even have "subjective" proof that there is no God, or that there is no supernatural. The simple fact is that your belief stems from (at best) logical arguments, or more likely from disillusionment when you look at the world.
Does all of this mean that my subjective proof beats your logic? Does it really have to? I have no problem with religious pluralism, and with including atheism in that as well. I have a huge problem with theocratic government though. I have a problem with a government talking about "officially recognized religions" and the like.
I'll never interfere with your right not to believe, and would never call you stupid for your stance. If you can do the same for me, we'll get along just fine.

The president supposedly believes in God and people take him seriously. But I do agree with you about the brainwashed thing, but maybe it is not brainwashing it is simply ingrained thought processes that are hard to change.
Because you say there is no God because of lack of proof doesn't make you right either. Maybe becoming atheist is a step in the right direction...away from religion....and possibly closer to the truth. Just because religions are wrong does not make them all wrong or prove there is no God. "Religion" was created by man not by God. But all in all it could be for the greater good in the end. Religion may make the world realize something is amiss. Because even with God everywhere (religions) he is lost. So religion could very well be the death of itself down the line...with an evolution of man
But you have to understand most people believe in God, so of course people will take others who believe in God seriously.

I agree about some of it - but remember, some people see God as an entity, a 'spirit' or energy in the world (or else completely outside time and space etc,) not all religions have the oft-caricatured 'old grey bearded man in the sky' approach. And remember, science is constantly changing and evolving itself! Nothing is certain. Quantum theory may well prove a lot of things that seem incredibly 'odd' or even religious today.

see now if you had nothing to prove that eliminates the point of science, science is about proving a hypothesis, not simply blowing off other viewpoints. oh and you say we are brainwashed how about the Evolutionists that have often come forth and admitted their own and their colleagues' extreme degree of bias in this matter. Some have admitted that their approach has not been scientific or objective at all. Many admit to the severe lack of evidence for evolution and that they have accepted their conclusions only because they are unwilling to accept that evolution never occurred. (And other final considerations.)

Now you know that the atheists on here will agree with you and those that believe in God will not. I have all the proof that I need regarding the existence of God, whether that proof is acceptable for you is your problem.
By the way, how exactly has science completely put religion to shame, do enlighten me.

I am one who DISagrees.
Here is one reason why:
A report, some years ago, in the New York Journal-American:
“Eight of the nation’s outstanding men of science were asked to give their views on this question:
Do scientists believe in God ?
One of the eight, Wernher von Braun:
“Anything as well ordered and perfectly created as our earth and universe must have a Maker, a master designer. Anything so orderly, so perfect, so precisely balanced, so majestic as this creation …..can only be the product of a Divine Idea.
There must be a Maker; there can be no other way.”
Another of the eight, Dr. William Swann, an authority on cosmic radiation:
“Viewing the universe as a whole, I cannot escape the fact that it is of intelligent design. The universe shows the same kind of efficiency of planning ….as an engineer strives to achieve, in his smaller undertakings.”
Dr. Warren Weaver, mathematician:
“Every new discovery of science is a further revelation of the order that God has built into His universe.”
The report concluded:
“From these answers, one basic concept shows up clearly:
Some Divine Power, beyond control of man, has shaped the universe.”
And that is from scientists who you claim don't believe!

i hope you don't mind, but i have a few questions about your question. what causes druggies and criminals to make a complete turn-around and give up drugs, alcohol, and other addictions cold-turkey? i believe strongly in God. yes i've been raised that way, but i have a friend, who both of her parents are druggies and alcoholics and atheists. she started on drugs and alcohol before she was 10. she was ruining her life. she STRONGLY believed there was NOT a God. until one day when she was 15, she was at a party. she had the choice to help clean the party the next day (it was a MESS cause people had had WAY too much alcohol, and you get the picture) or go to church. she decided to go to church. she went in thinking it was crap, and she left a new person. she asked God to forgive her and she gave up her addictions and she loves God with her whole heart and is going to college to be a youth leader in a year.
When i heard the story, it amazed me. how could this have happed without a God? I have 2 other friends who used to be drug addicts and one a drug dealer. They turned completely around and God forgave them. He is willing to forgive ANYONE, and loves EVERYONE. how is it that many people, such as my aforementioned friends feel something inside that was "missing" and they search through religions, people, education, or drugs to complete them. their seach stops only when they believe in God and ask Him to forgive them.
i have concluded that there is evidence of God. where do all the miricles come from that completely contradict science? and what would cause a drug addict to completely turn their life around so quickly if there really was no hope for their life or afterlife? and how did something as complex as DNA form by accident, if there is no God like you claim? you may say the big bang and evolution. but how did everything start. even before the "big bang" if you believe in it? how did the starting material get here?
God's evidence is like the wind. you can't see the wind, but you believe that it's real because you see/feel the effects of the wind.

No, I don't. I am a scientist by profession. Albert Einstein, one of the greatest scinetific minds said anyone who doesn't belive in God is NOT a scientist. The Quran is FULL of scientific evidence. Written 1400 years ago, these are facts that could not possibly be known by man. Check out the following website for details:
