That men should be made to cover up more too? It's only fair, surely.
Men have sexual drives, but so do women. Why should women have to cover up so much when men only have to cover the groin?!

I never said FORCE. By the expression 'made to cover up' - I mean, not directly, but by their religion and tradition. Especially if it is from a young age - it is unlikely to ONLY be an individual choice on the woman's part in ALL cases.

first of all, who knows better than God.
he put these rules, so he knows thats better for both women and men.
but apart from religion, i think a woman's body is more attractive than a man's, a man is more likely to be attracted to a woman by her appearance (i dont mean they are airheads) but thats the way it is, while women can fall for a nice word, a compliment, a manly behavior...
on the other hand, God orders Muslim women to try not to be close to men, like no handshakes, not staying with a man alone in one room, no touching...etc i think this is because God knows that women can be attracted to men for more than only appearance u know.
God created both women and men and according to how he created them differently, he set our Islam rules that we have to abide
so to answer ur question, no i never felt men should cover up more.
God bless us all

If you are a good Muslim you will be modest if you are a man or a woman. I want to cover myself personally because I dont really want the attention of any guy but my husband. My husband dresses nicely and modestly as well.

More importantly- in Islam it is called GHEERAH-- when a man does not like people to drool over his wife or daughters. Most muslim men I know have strong Gheerah tword all muslim women, to protect them from lusts, desires, rapes and sick minded people. It is for the integrity of a woman who does not want to be seen as a piece of meat- or a 'body'. we would rather people see us for our personalities or our faith. Also, men are much more visual than women are (it's been scientifically proven)

More likely Muslim women are conditioned into covering up - it is normal for them to see women this way, from little girls. Women's sexual drives don't match anywhere near that of men, we're not as visually stimulated as men.

Men are supposed to cover *at least* from the navel to the knee.
Shirts are better of course.

yeah women do have their sexual desires but they always know their limits..imagine, if a naked man flauting his body in front of group of a women or individual..they might scream for help thinking he is a psycho rapist BUT if it comes to a women dance nakedly in front of a group of men..they all screams to want to have 'IT' with her ...right?? get it???

thats why it actually need no bother for men to cover up compare to the womens..

we women will definitely be 'turn off' is suddenly a naked ugly guy smiling and dancing in front of you..ergh..yuck

no i don't think they do because Muslim men don't force them to cover up as YOU claim.

do you see Muslim men walking around naked or something?

head cover? well in the Arab Gulf countries Muslim men cover their heads. so they both cover their hair don't you worry about a thing.

there you go, mlaheji is covering his head in his avatar. happy now?

edit: why don't you be a good christian and follow the YOUR scripture and cover your hair too? well, the bible says you should.
