Do you know anyone that is not proud of their heritage? Just because someone is proud of their heritage does not mean they support their government. Mexico's elections have been as close or closer than ours. So not everyone there is happy with their government. The last two president's who have narrowly won the elections have been Conservatives. Conservatives always neglect the poor and working class.

You asked a very good question.
From what I see as a Canadian living in Mexico and married to a super great Mexican woman I can give you my perspective.
Not all Mexicans want to live or even visit the States, I have met many people here that don't have a care in the world to even see the States, but at the same time there are plenty of people who see a better life and opportunity mostly brought on by Hollywood films and American advertising or stories of becoming rich "THE AMERICAN DREAM".
as for the people here in Mexico there are plenty of people embarrassed and ashamed at the actions and position the Mexican Government takes on the illegal crossing of there citizens and they do feel that this needs to be handled in a better way then it is.
The Mexican Government is only concerned with illegal crossings from Guatemala into Mexico and they could care less about the problem on the USA / Mexico boarder, That's the USA's problem, sad disgusting but true.
One answer is to improve the situation of employment ? good jobs here in Mexico and build up the economy that could mean closing more factory's in Canada and the US and moving them here to Mexico, remember be careful what you wish for!

I'm an American living in Mexico and I can tell you that they are a proud nation. However most of them hate their government. For example, the governor of Baja California Sur sold one of the largest islands in the Sea of Cortez (just off of the coast at La Paz and Los Cabos) to the American government. The US is planning to build an entire vacation resort on this island and reap in billions of dollars from it. Again, Mexico will not receive any of the benefits. All because the govenor here wanted to use this money for his personal gain. The same has happened to all the land in the Los Cabos area, La Paz and Todos Santos. These people who work for about $30.00 per day, (American dollars, that is about $320 pesos), are living in poor conditions because the land to build a house now is sold in American dollars and costs about $30,000. per lot. A nice house (by American standards) costs around $125,000 or in other words $1,470,000. pesos. The Americans are taking over most of the Baja California Sur and these people have no rights to stop it. This country says its a democracy, but its the closest thing to a dictatorship. If you were poor, working hard and had nothing but your family, could you leave it all because you hate the governemnt? They love their families and their "paisanos", fellow countrymen, they pull together for each other because they are all rowing in the same boat.
Oh, yeah, many Americans hate Bush, why don't they all denounce the United States and move to another country?

Maybe this can answer some of your question .When Santa Ana came to defend and take back Texas, he brought with him an army composed of Mexican Indians. Where were the cowardly spaniards or spanish blood. Santa Ana and some of his officers were probably the only spanish blood in that Mexican army. The ones that did the actual fighting were the Mexican Indians. No telling what Santa Ana had promised them.

When you respond that you can insult us
Asi que la proxima vez que decidas insultarnos piensalo dos veces por que todos los mexicanos somos unidos.
Y pelearemos por lo que no nos guste.
Viva Mexico!

no longer something yet embarrassment featuring envy and resentment.... their racial delight isn't something yet a thank you to grant us the finger with one hand at the same time as they take handouts with the different... its a thank you to save face. How can everyone be happy with a rustic that they have been compelled to depart because of the fact it would not take care of them? Their very presence right it extremely is evidence that THEIR way of existence is inferior... yet they are loath to admit. so they must practice daily confirmation the way that many blacks gain this as to maintain some self esteem at the same time as based on the gringos from the north to take care of them

Ehhhhh..... This is a very touchy subject. (Even I think so.) I think the bigger question here is:
Why do so many illegal immigrants publicly denounce America and show their hatred of America's citizens? Why do we let them get away with it?
I've seen one of the bumper stickers that say "F*ck America- This is still Mexico".
I saw the immigration protests in which thousands of people (mostly Hispanic) marched through the streets while waving their foreign flags. (Just like what would happen during an invasion.) I've also read the reports of certain sects chanting "Die Gringo" while marching.
I've seen the reports of Mexican flags being flown with upside-down American flags beneath them. I've seen quite a few people doing this in person, too.
Another good question is this: Why do we let people (who are swarming into our country by the millions) stay?
