You should be surrounded by friends and family that love you. You should enjoy each day to the fullest. You should have goals set for your future. Make those goals for 3 months, 6 months and maybe for a year down the road. When I was 23, I was married and had a house payment. When I hit thirty, I realized that I had bought into the thought that "stuff" was what made life good. I was wrong. It's the people that you surround yourself that makes life.

It's not fair to yourself to set goals based on where other people are in their lives. You can say to yourself by 23 I would've liked to be done with school, and starting a new career, have a car , and a place of my own that is not my parents house. where you should be is in a state to make decision for yourself. Owning a house is a huge deal and many people won't ever actually own their own home so that would be a huge task to give yourself to work towards.

You're young and have the world by the tail. You should follow your heart and head. What does your gut tell you do? Travel the world for a year then decide. You only 23 baby, do what ever you feel like doing. Carpe Diem! ( I hope I spelled that right)
Good Luck to you.

don't worry so much about a goal in the future.
just do your best right now in school or whatever you are doing.
the future will work itself out if you invest your best effort now.
i would see you as a success if at 23 you lived in dirt poor
conditions in a rural setting with no house, no car, no career.
are you growing your own food? are you helping others?
are you learning something? are you taking care of animals
or anything to serve?
