They are right so far; it is like a "D" sound in English, but repeated many times rapidly. It took me many years to learn how to do it. Choose a word that is easier for making that sound. For me making the sound "brrrrrrr" is easier. Once you can do it with just a sound you will be able to do it in words. Just keep trying. It takes a lot of practice.

It is natural for me, but I have been in countries where children have not learned to do this. I have some Italian friends that can not roll their R's, but listening to them is like music, they actually make the r sound French, where rolling is not needed, sounds kinda like a cat purring.. Why, perche, (perkay), French why, purrheey.

put the tip of your tongue about 1cm before your teeth pointing slightly upwards and try to keep it there while you blow strongly.

or if you are american, try to say latter or ladder, but dwell awhile in the -dd- -tt- blowing strongly.

Keep trying, it took me many month to do it naturally.

sort of like that "d" sound we americans make in words like "little". The toungue flaps on the spot where you usually prononounce the letter "L".
