Sometimes you just have to force yourself to do things. This is one of those times. What made you happy in the past? A ride in the country? A hobby? Whatever it was, force yourself to go do it. Once you get started you will be glad you did.
Life is too short (yeah, I know it is a cliche, but when you get my age you know how true it is) to waste on feeling unhappy.
Please take the time to make yourself happy today You are worth it.

That is what depression does to you. I had to go through therapy myself to help with mine, and am taking medication for it currently. I have been to the lowest of low, wanting to take my own life - even though I have children, a home, pets, a husband who loves me... so I will give you a quickie rundown of things you can do if you TRULY want to help yourself:
* Go do something. If you just stay in one spot when you have depression, it wears on you even more. Movement (i.e. walks) can sometimes help.
* Write in a journal daily. Each day create at least three things that you will do and write about doing them.
* Go to a therapist. I know, sounds like the bs answer for everything - but here's the trick - you MUST understand that therapists are people too. Therefore, you have to find one that you are going to get along with and that you feel comfortable with. Comfort is NOT whether you feel awkward talking about your issues. No matter what, you won't feel at ease telling someone your deepest, darkest thoughts. Comfort is if you feel that outside of that situation, you could possibly be a friend of this person. Last on the therapist thing - understand that they are NOT your friend. They aren't going to hug you or take you for coffee - they're going to try to help you in a clinical manner to understand what is going on - something your friends CAN'T do.
* Talk to your family doctor about taking anti-depressants. It takes a while for them to work sometimes, and there are other times that they don't work. Lexapro made me even more suicidal - but the idea is that you understand that meds are NOT instant happy pills. Time is what it takes, and sometimes, a lot of it. Couple that with patience and a teeny, tiny bit of love of yourself (in order to feed the desire to help yourself out), and you may find success there.
* Your depression is not just about YOU! You may or may not realize that your feelings and thoughts and emotions affect those around you - whether you verbalize them or not. People around you DO care about you and want you around, no matter how much you may think they are better off without you.
It is serious and it is a disease but you CAN cope with it and treat it and actually make some sort of feeling come back into your life.
Good luck and take care.

I would recommend a trip to the doctor, but if you can't for financial/other reasons, go to the health food store and get some St. John's Wort, which is an herbal anti-depressant, and Melatonin, which helps regulate sleep. I tried this a few years back with great success, for a cost of $10-15 a month for both of them. I knows it helps with the winter blues, too.

You are depressed and need to seek treatment. Can you talk to a parent so they can get you some help? If not are you old enough that you could go to the Dr to get some help? You need to do something about it so that you can get better. I know what you mean feeling nothing is worse then feeling sad. It is kind of weird huh, but I know what you mean. Please get some help there are very low dose meds that you can take that will make a huge difference. Good luck.
