For unsurpassed image quality then you have to go for the higher optical zoom. If you do use a digital zoom, especially when you are talking about figures such as 200x and greater, you must expect greatly reduced image quality.

Forget the digital zoom, 32x optical is better than 10x.

No as both optical and digital figures are higher.
Optical zoom is more important than digital zoom though.
