Actually I think that is downplaying how terrible Hell is. Just like we cannot know how wonderful it will be to be in the very presence of God where there is fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore, neither can a person know how terrible it will be to face a hopeless, Christ-less, eternity of separation from God and his love. It isn't without reason that Jesus spoke of weeping and gnashing of teeth. I don't know anyone whose worst fears include knowing for all eternity that there will never be any hope of lessening of the torment that they fear.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

No I didn't know that I thought in Hell I would find it nice and cozy and warm. It is so cold here on Earth I am looking forward to the nice warmth of Hell. Why do people fear nothingness it's what they are coming to. My worst fear is being board to death by the realities of heaven. God bless Kisses Betty.

My worst fears are Christians' descriptions of heaven. Everyone spends all their time worshiping the same god, everything is sweetness and light, nothing ever changes. No one grows or learns anything new. No one is ever really happy, because no one is ever really sad. It's the highs and lows that make life interesting. Christian heaven sounds like a stagnant pond. Boring.

Did you know that I don't believe that? I believe that hell is the common grave of mankind, and that Jehovah God gave us two choices when it comes to serving Him... life forever or death forever! Romans 6:23 says that the wages sin pays is DEATH, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Jesus Christ our Lord. So, no... I don't believe that a loving God who detested those who threw their children into the fire in worship of the god Bael, would in turn burn us forever in a place of torment. Or that we are doomed to a life of our 'worst fears' overwhelming us when we die.. I truly believe that we are dead until a resurrection, and if we are not resurrected, then we STAY dead!!

Hell is only for truly evil people.I believe.God loves us all. but doesn't wont evil in heaven. In my fathers house or many mansions. theres a place for all who love God.Your probably right. there evil ways will come back to them.there fears and there evil ways on earth will haunt them . you reap what you sow. but with trust, love and faith you can make it to heaven . I wish you well. pray for the ones who hurt you. forgive them. You must.or you may turn out evil.fear not.total undoubting faith will get you thru, dont wish bad on anyone. God can do a much better job then we can.

Yep. Or more accurately, they're your worst fears brought to life, amplified to an infinite point, and you're stuck there for an infinite amount of time.

Why dont you think of a better question? I am a christian, I believe in hell and I know it must be a terrible thing. But what is the point of your question?

I'm going to check with the next one I meet who's made the trip. That's the only way we'll ever know anything about the place. Everything else is guesswork or hearsay.
Besides, there ain't no such place.

So seeing as how you, and every other Christian out there are my greatest fears, that means you'll be in hell with me. Doesn't really make sense does it? You're going to hell because you scare me, even though you've given your life to god? Crappy deal for you...

Actually, I don't know that.
Consider this - Hell is such an awful, terrible, horrific place that a kind, loving, fatherly, merciful and wise god would never have created it and would never allow anybody to be sent to it.
In America we have laws against cruel and unusual punishment. If we can make that moral distinction then surely god can, too.
