Should be made a LOT more humane if it is to be carried out - I read some of the ways they do it (I had vaguely known before, but had to have a look) and it seems like such a step back in medicine.

I am pro-choice, because I do not know how I would react in the situation and so there's no way I'd outright condemn it. But there must be nicer ways of doing it - a slow, poisoned death, having your brains cut out or being shredded apart sound so utterly terrible.

I'm sorry but - if you are totally anti-abortion - have you ever been raped and had that child and had to look after it? How can you possibly, without ever having been in that situation, say abortion is always totally wrong?

Especially men who are anti-abortion - JUST BECAUSE YOU KNOW YOU'LL NEVER BE IN THAT SITUATION...

PaulCyp, I do not believe in the Christian God, and I don't count killing a foetus as murder. Not for the first few weeks, at any rate.

A woman can take the abortion pill a few days after learning she's pregnant and the body will reject the fetus naturally. We're talking a few cells here. What you're talking about only happen late in pregnancy, if the life of the mother is in danger. Not in the first trimester.

But the psychofundies will always cut you down, regardless of logic or sense.

i agree, to me my daughter didn't come at the right time, but I felt it necessary to have her and raise her. I would however, not force my view and my situation on anyone, I mean what if a woman was raped and they MADE her carry and raise a child of such an awful crime? But I believe there has got to be a less traumatic way..

It's a no-brainer that brutally murdering an innocent child is ALWAYS morally wrong. Sure, we have "nicer ways" of executing people these days - lethal injection instead of the electric chair - but the person is just as dead, and the killing just as barbaric. What part of "Thou Shalt Not Kill" do you find ambiguous?

Their little nervous systems work, by the way, and they do feel every bit of what is being done to them.
Horrible, isn't it?

IS there a "humane" way to commit murder, do you think?

2006-11-24 14:08:33 · answer #4 · answered by Anonymous · 0 3

Nope. The Human Soul in that fetus carries the very imprint of the image of God from the very moment of conception.

There can be no humane way of ending such a precious and divine gift of life.

It's never just a "choice". It's always a precious soul.

A nicer way of doing it would be not to become pregnant in the first place. Or make risky choices in having sex and getting someone pregnant. Think about it.
