Contents and subject matter really doesn't matter. But a photo that 'tells a story' is the way to go. It makes it interesting to all who see it. Go for the sweet spot of F-8, get shoot from down low and shoot in colour. Remember to included something in the fore ground, middle and back ground.

Any photo taken could be considered use of photography, but if you want to know what makes a great one, it's perspective. Interesting angles, colors, light sources... all these things help make a photo great. Whether you're taking a picture of a group of friends in a candid pose, or zooming in on a ladybug on a flower, it's good to make sure your photo is clear. Meaning, use the flash correctly. If you want to start practicing photography, get a couple objects and items that express you and your interests and try setting them up in an artistic way. Take pictures of your family, friends, pets, pretty places in your area, and learn what looks good to you. After a while, you'll start noticing some favorite poses and places, and then you can work more on the details.

A photographer has to learn how to make the image in the camera convey what he actually saw - and felt - to someone who was not there. That takes time, skill and patience. Pay attention to what you are doing and evaluate your own results.

Any subject can be a good subject. While you're out and about, do more than just 'look'. You'll know a good shot when it comes to you...it's a feeling...use what you've learned, but. more importantly, use your feelings.
