a friend to do it with its best . if your rich then a trainer.
if your going to a gym join a group and make some partners there .
write down why you are doing this work out in the first place keep that where you can see it . set goals that are sensible .
reward yourself for doing the workout not with food but with other things like dvd rental and then later some new clothes
and then just say good job to yourself .
if your going to a gym don't be shy check out the people who are in the kind of shape you wish you were in and think how you would feel if you were in that shape . talk to them as well and ask them how they did it compliment them and you may end up with a very fit motivated friend that knows how to get in shape and stay in shape and how to help you get that way. another thing to do is to take photos of yourself wearing nothing or very tight clothes and then take more after a month and so on just compare them to each other. if you take nude pics and store them on your computer use a password file to protect them
unless your really into showing nude pics to other people .

Get in the zone, start to feel those endorphins flowing its better than taking drugs, its the natural high. Like any drug it becomes addictive once that happens bingo your in the zone. Getting there is I guess hard work, you got to combine a good healthy diet, plenty of fresh veg and fruit and protein. Start seeing the results in the mirror and that will be enough to make you stay committed. Try going to the gym early morning say 06:00 before work it invigorates you for the rest of the day. Best of luck.

Having a work out buddy helps a great deal. They help motivate you and vice versa. It also makes working out more enjoyable. I always change my work outs so it does not get boring. There are a lot of different ways to work out and a lot of them are fun like walking or jogging with a friend, aerobic dance is great, roller blading is tons of fun. Keep changing your routines up. The gym I go to is great and I have a lot of fun there so I do mind going every day.
