My husband wants one for Christmas and I was wondering what a good brand was and how much it costs? Any ideas?

Please do yourself and your husband a favor and take him to a large sporting goods store such as Cabelas or Gander Mountain. Talk to the salesmen there...they are very knowledgeable and can fit him with the bow and get the proper sized arrows. It all has to match otherwise he won't be able to hit the broad side of a barn door with it. If you want it to be a surprise then get him a gift card for one of the above mentioned stores. There are just too many personal choices to make for someone to buy a bow for someone else.

PSE and Browning are good brands... I sold several on eBay and they run from a couple hundred for your base models all the way up to $500-$600 for fancier ones. You can find them at local sporting goods stores like Dick's or Gander Mountain or Cabella's, or order online. Just make sure you know what draw weight and length your husband needs. (I would reccomend buying one with him present.) For arrows I would reccomend Easton aluminum ones, but carbon ones are good too. Good luck.
