Sometimes I tend to think that it is important to consider Jerusalem an all nations city. This is because Jerusalem was a place where people went to worship God in a special manner.
And according to the temple (which destroyed) this statement prevails: My house will called a prayer house to all nations!

It belongs to Israel, as it should.
When Jerusalem was in Arab hands, no non-Muslims had access to the holy sites, and the Western Wall was turned into a dump site and covered by garbage.
Since Jerusalem has been in Israeli hands, EVERYBODY's holy sites have been refurbished, and EVERYONE has access to them, as they should!

It seems Chani has a fair solution with Jerusalem being a shared city with the Eastern sector under the jurisdiction of the Palestinian nation, and both Israel and Palestine having complete understanding and respect for the international status of the city. Presently, with America's military might supporting it, Jerusalem is usurped by the prevailing ZioNazi Israeli government, but this isn't a fixed scenario. With the increasing awareness of the atrocities and injustices by Israelis and their conning lobbies people, even the American public, are realizing how they have been manipulated by unjust Zionist Jewish interests. What goes around comes around.

Inat------------I was not allowed to go onto the Rock of the Dome and AL Asqa when I was there last Spring. I am a Jew, and it is off limits to anyone but Muslims.

I cannot imagine Jerusalem as anything but Israeli. Yet, deep inside my heart-I feel the Old City part of Jerusalem should be a World Heritage Site, as it is so important to the three Abrahamic faiths. Israel can have all of West Jerusalem. And, it seems the Palestinians have been given alot of East Jerusalem.

Jesus also told them before his death that the "house is abandoned to them".

However, in answer to your question --- it is somewhat ironic but there is now a huge Mosque that stands in the place of Solomon's temple.
