Do dogs have souls?

Question

Because if something has a soul it either goes to hell or heaven so ... if my dog dies I want to see it in heaven...

Animals and people do not have souls, they are souls and souls die:
"Ecclesiastes 18:20--"The soul that sinneth, it shall die"
" Revelation 16:3:" And the second poured out his bowl into the sea; and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living soul died, even the things that were in the sea."
Animal and people share the same fate at death:
" For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; and man hath no preeminence above the beasts: for all is vanity. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again."
Humans are the only ones created with the ability to love and worship the true God and prove their loyalty to him and his righteous laws. Animals cannot serve God nor can they love him unconditionally, so they are not able to receive life in heaven. Only people who remain faithful until death and prove themselves worthy, can be given that reward.

Aristotle said all living things have souls, even plants. He said there are just different types of souls. His definition of a soul was the life force of the creature. Thomas Aquinas used this concept in some of his writings.

The modern concept of soul is a bit hazy. We use the word rather randomly. I think maybe what you are wanting to know is does your dog have an eternal soul, that is that he will exist in another plane, like some religions teach about man. I personally dont believe that anything is eternal, but thats me. You can decide for yourself. One thing you can know is that your dog can live in your memory as long as you let him.

They do have souls, in my opinion. I wish you well on meeting your dog in heaven. In fact, all animals goes to heavens cos they do not have the ability to make firm decisions and choices, which was a gift bestowed only to humans. Since we humans are the special ones, we're sent to either heaven or hell in accordance of what kind of sinful/non-sinful decisions you'd made while alive. The only thing preventing you from meeting your dog in heaven is if YOU went to hell. :P

The bible doesn't support the theory of dogs having souls. I want to see all my dogs again, so I hope there is a special place for them that we can at least visit.

When was the last time you saw a dog kill another dog over the color of it's fur? The only time you see that is if a human trains it to do so. That tells me that they have stronger and much more pure souls that humans.

As a working medium, I can assure you that pets return to their families and sometimes are more welcome than lost relatives! LOL The soul is connected to the mental faculties and a continuity or growth may not always be seen...but love is the glue of the universe!

. Well, i know that animals live on because i have seen several animals that have died especially my German Sheppard.So yes you will see your pet after you die and until that day comes it will still be your companion and show you the same love as it did when living.You can never break a bond of love even after death weather it be a person or pet. bless you.

You will note that God created the earth, then animals, then humans. When humans sinned and the earth was cursed, animals were also under this curse.

In the last days, the animals will be at peace just like us. God has chariots and horses in heaven.

I believe the animals are restored to eternity just like we are.
