This is the ultimate mystery of existence. Keep god in and we have the problem. Take god out and we have the same problem - something always existing (process, potential, etc.). Only when someone thinks about this for a long time will someone grasp the implications of this and realize how frighteningly unsolvable it is. I know -- I've had friends who were comfortable in the thought that they had 'solved' it by just removing god and saying that there's an infinite cycle where universes are created, extinguish, and the cycle starts again. I then was able to stear them into thinking about this cycle just always existing and what the nature of this thing is and how -- even if it's a ridiculously simple process -- it contains the whole mechanism that results in a universe, sentience, etc. and then... when they finally glimpse the implications, it's unnerving.

There is no who or what before God because God is a spirit & an eternal one, He had no beginning nor ending. Now you said what number comes from # 1, well it will be # 2

Zero comes before number one and -1, -2, etc. If this is the fact then perhaps there was a holy negative force before God. A god like ours but totally evil ruling over a universe that wholly evil.

If God created the concept of concepts, time, etc. it is not possible for us to have an answer to such a question as He is not bound by the system He created.

that's like saying ,what is beyond, invisible no-thing ness.i would be to afraid to find out what was before god, because that would mean that god was born ,and god could die.

sort of. Who was there before God? For that matter, who was there before that? Does the universe have a beginning? Will it have an end? Hell if i know, but it's fun to speculate.
