No one who ever wrote anything about Jesus ever knew or saw Jesus, so everything about his life is hearsay and pure speculation written many decades after Jesus died.

His started preaching after recieving the holy spirit, when he was baptised by john the baptist.
[Quote] rchlbsxy2:[quote/]He possibly had his mental illness from an early age. (The one that made him think he was god)
He didn´t think he was God, and he isn´t God that is sooo obvious if you actually read the bible. The Trinity is a Pagan belief imported by the Catholics to satisfy the Pagans who wanted to become Christians.
for example:-John recorded Jesus' own statement that the Father is "the only true God," and that "the Father is greater than I am." (John 17:3; 14:28) He recorded six instances in which Jesus called the Father "my God." Five instances of Jesus' speaking of "my God" are long after Jesus' resurrection and ascension to heaven. (John 20:17; Revelation 3:2, 12) At least five more times, John carefully recorded the distinction not just between the Father and the Lamb but between God and the Lamb Jesus Christ. (Revelation 1:1; 7:10; 21:22; 22:1-3) John says he wrote, not to show that Jesus is God, or even "God the Son," but "that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God."-John 20:31.
John wrote: "No one has ever seen God; it is the only Son, who is nearest to the Father's heart, who has made him known." (John 1:18, The Jerusalem Bible) Has anyone seen God? No. Has anyone seen Jesus? Of course!

Between His birth to before His baptism, Jesus knew nothing about the fact that He was the Son of God. Though he know nothing about much of His childhood, we do know that Joseph was a carpenter and most likely apprenticed Jesus in that work. From what I've watched from documentaries on the Discovery Channel (ducks rotten fruit hurled at my head and ignores words from crowd), Jesus most likely had a normal childhood. Did He have any siblings, I probably shouldn't answer that but it's debatable. From then, He pretty much didn't have a clue until he met John the Baptist at age 30. After his baptism, He knew He was the Son of God. Right after His temptation, He began preaching up to about 33, when He was crucified.

Jesus is God - therefore, He knew everything all the time.
The first record of Him preaching in the Temple was at age 12, but there are accounts of people being astonished at His message and understanding before that. His ministry started when He was age 30 - the age a Rabbi was allowed to start preaching.

We don't know from the time of his birth for sure if he knew who he was because the Bible does not talk about that, but we know he knew by the time he was twelve. That is mentioned in the Bible. But other than that, the Bible is silent on his younger years between birth and the age of twelve and from then until he started preaching.
He started preaching in his late 20s or so, and was crucified three years later.

He never thought he was god. The Catholic church created that concept in the Council of Nicea. (Do a search)
Jesus himself said:
John 17: 1 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 3Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
PS: Padwinlearner wrote that since Jesus is God he knows everything all the time, however, :
Mark 13:32"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

According to a certain scripture in Isaiah that supposably professied Jesus, he did not know to choose the good until he did a certain thing.
Isaiah 7:14-16
14] Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
[15] Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
[16] For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.
If one believes this is a literal interpretation, than one must believe he had to eat butter and honey inorder to know to choose the good. But I guess he could have still known he was God's son before he ate the butter.
But looking at it as literal, doesn't make sense unless one is unlearned in the bible. Because how does physical butter and honey make someone understand? This is a spiritual message about how all of us are to know to choose the good.
So I would say Jesus didn't fully understand who he was until he ate of the butter and honey.

Mary certainly knew. I think the Scriptures are clear: by the time He was teaching in the Temple and "amazed" the people there...He knew that He was different. I think that by the time He fasted in the desert for 40 days....then He knew for sure. It was then that He began His Ministry.
His Baptism by John was another clear indicator (in Obedience to His Father's Will)....but that would have been about the same time.

I think he knew but, just like Scripture says he did not think claiming equality with God was right even though he was God, he was humble and more than compliant to the Fathers will.

42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.
43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.
44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.
45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.
46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.
48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. 49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?
