I died my hair a couple days ago, how long am I supposed to refrain from shampooing it?

Any dye eventually will fade and you will have to re-dye again, usually with 5 to 6 weeks.

Ususally when you dye your hair, you can wait 2 to 3 days to wash. In my case, I wash it the next day because my hair is very oily, however, if you can go for more then a day, good for you.

Be careful not to damage your hair with too much dye or if you do it too often.

If the hair dresser did it for you, these dyes are usually stronger then the ones you will by at the store.

You do not have to refrain from shampooing your hair at all, if it is permanent it will not come out. It may fade over time, however, so I suggest buying a shampoo for color treated hair to reduce fading.

In the salon, we recommend to our clients that they shampoo and condition 24 hours after their chemical service with shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair.

When profetionally colored we recomend 3 days. It wont take it out if you do it sooner but might fade. I recomend a mild shampoo and a great conditioner.

You can wash it right away. If its permanent, then it will not wash out. It will grow out. Some dyes, depending on the kind used, will wash out gradually.

when i dyed my hair i just took showers normally.
if u want the color to stay on longer then dont take showers as often. maby every second day.

dont worry about it. If its permenant, then it shouldnt come out. Just wash it like you usually wash your hair.
