I will be decorating my room with the help of some of my girlfriends and I really want to get rid of my in-built table *** cupboards. Is there some kind of chemical that can loosen the hold between the table and the wall? Its an all-girls feat so I'mhoping not too much strength is needed for this :) Please tell me if there are any dangers involved in handling the chemicals.. and anthing else that is related to this.

Look under the table to see if there is a support rail that is screwed onto the wall. If so use a screw driver or drill to remove the support rail.

If it is glued to the wall, it cause a fair bit of damage to remove it. But maybe paint thinner or acetone and a putty knife from the hardware will help loosen the glue.

Be careful. Maybe ask some advice of a carpenter person.

If you have a camera phone, take pictures of the table and the underside where the supports are, take it to the hardware or to home depot to show them to get some advice.

Try this, 1/2 cup olive oil with 2 tablespoons real lemon juice added and mixed in. Use a clean soft cloth and dip in just a little of the cloth then wipe the table, as the cloth gets dirty, find a clean spot and dip into the solution again. The lemon juice cleans and the oil restores the beauty of the wood without causing a build-up. Once the table is cleaned, only use this about once a month. Just use a soft cloth and spritz it with water to get dust off table. store the left over oil in an airtight jar/container. It will be good for a couple of months to use on WOOD furniture.

Brute force!

A hammer, your hands, anything! No chemicals will loosen it without destroying the wall itself!

Good Luck!
