There will be some woman out there that will be able to look beyond all that. I know how hurtful it must be for you. You won't always be single, it will just take a little time. Thats the bad thing about many Americans today, we all love our freedom and we all love to say "we support our troops" but when we see what some of them had to endure, bad burns, amputations, and paralyzation they can't digest it. Most Americans want the power to see what we are doing over in Iraq and the Middle East but they don't want to see what happens to your brave men and women when they get hurt.

I'm sorry to hear about this, you are not a monster, and thank you for serving. It sucks that we live in a country that puts such unethical pressure on looks that we think men have to look perfect and that we women have to be pencil thin, with air between our heads (obviously not me LOL).

Aside from how you were scarred, I would suggest that your first battle is first coming to terms with your physical situation - that which is most out of your control. If you think about it from the perspective of the many people with unusual physical attributes, the greatest challenge is learning to accept yourself with the myriad of messages that reinforce what and where beauty is found.

I think you will find as you accept and learn to love yourself for who you are, others will be attracted to that. I'm not trying to make light of the terrible situation that you've been through, but on the positive side, you still have the opportunity to be a great person - a person of character and goodwill and embody characteristics that any woman would be attracted to.

Confidence is the most attractive quality. Thanks for your service, but I encourage you to find a counselor and work on the the new challenges you face and build a constructive life.

You will find someone who will love you who you are on the inside and rather look at your scar as a hero who sacrificed it for his country. That woman will love you to the end and you don't have any problems

You have nothing to worry about because a good woman will fall in love with you based on the goodness of your heart, not how your face looks sweetie. Just be patient!

yes of course! not everyone is that shallow that they would judge you on your appearance. some people will but then someone judges everyone. If someone is judging you on how you look there not worth your time anyway. Keep smiling and show the world how strong you are! :)

Fate's got it all planned out for all of us. Someone as good as you to fight for the freedom of others is bound to find someone who will love him. Good luck, and keep your chin up!

The idea of love shouldn't be about what you look like.
