I'm trying to figure out my ethnic orgin and I just wanted to know if "Locklear" was an Indian last name.

It could be. Many Natives took (or were given) european names. Find out where your people are from. See if there is a reserve nearby and check the phonebook for Locklears. Heather Locklear claims Lumbee ancestors, who are recognized as a Native American tribe in North Carolina. See links below.

If you look at the ethimology ,definitely not.I consists of lock and lear.English.Right?
