its not so bad, but you should be careful.. Since the body grows a lot around that age, you can tear muscles easier as they're growing, and actually screw up your body majorly... don't overdo it too much, even though they say do more.. In massage school we learned that its best to do sets, so instead of 40 all at once, do 15-20 slow pushups then rest and do more in a few minutes, that will fine tone the muscles, and not overstress them..

I'm 21, and I can do 60 in a row, but I do 20 slow ones, every 5 minutes works much much better, otherwise I have to get massage work done... hope this helps, cheers!

I recomend you go to your gym teacher (or anyone like that) and ask what the healthy fitness zone for 13 year olds is for puhups. Im pretty sure your fine. Besides life isn't measured by how many pushups you can do.

Yes, that is pretty good. Also, I'd like to point out that people who are young, and thus lighter, can actually do more push ups than older people. As you grow older and get heavier, your max # of pushups possible will decrease.

When I was your age I could do 200 pushups. Try harder!
