Zesty Spaghetti Sauce
Ingredients
• 1 lb. Italian sausage, casings removed
• 1 cup chopped onion
• 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
• 1 can (28 oz.) CONTADINA® Crushed Tomatoes
• 1 can (15 oz.) CONTADINA Tomato Sauce
• ½ cup sliced mushrooms
• ½ tsp. dried oregano, crushed
• ¼ tsp. dried basil, crushed
Directions
1. Cook sausage, onion and garlic in large skillet over medium-high heat, 5 minutes, stirring to break up sausage; drain.
2. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes. Serve over pasta, if desired.

Cook Time: 35 min

You can add a little Italian Dressing to your sauce. Be careful though. Too much can ruin the sauce. I make my own sauce from freshly canned tomatoes that I grow and can myself. I usually add green peppers and other things to the mix when I can it so that the flavors stand and mix together over time. MUCH better than any store bought stuff.

I like to add about 1/4 tsp of cinnamon to my meat sauce, more if I make a large amount, it really enhances the flavors, and I always add chili powder or red pepper flakes and lots of black pepper.

make a simple tomatoe sauce and add one of the following,
ham and mushrooms
garlic lots of it and chillies
a can or tuna (excluding the oil)
a can of shrips(excluding the liquid)
basil,oregano,rosemary
dried chilli and parsley
spicy sausage
cut up left over turkey and add to sauce
add strong flavoured grated cheese on top and enjoy

Add in some hot crushed red pepper but be careful, not everyone likes hot stuff.

You ned to add a "gastric' to it, put a couple of spoonfuls of sugar in a pan, plonk in some vinegar and boil to a syrup. Add to taste
