I'm going to second the "for what" answer above.
You've asked two questions about Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold... the two who committed such horrendous acts at Columbine High School a few years back. Now you're asking about guns?
I'd have to question your motivations behind such a line of questions.

Good all around shotgun for both value and reliability= Remington 870
Hand guns
Revolver=Smith and Wesson 357
Semi Auto= Colt model 1911 in 45 ACP
Hunting rifles

I have to agree with wise beyond your years... his reccomendations are good... I disagree with the semi-auto pistol. I prefer the Sig Sauer 226 in 9mm.
