My hair is long and choppy in front and short and spiked in the back. I have really curly hair and have to straighten it everyday...i want to grow it out, but the layers turn into this mullet like disaster, is there any haircuts to ease the process??
thanks

As your hair grows just cut the length in the back ,but don't layer it anymore.Once the overall ending length of the sides catch up to the back it won't look like a mullet anymore, then you can just let it grow. Hope I made sense. Good luck

When I was growing my curly hair out from "spiky-not-dykey" it did end up looking kind of mullet-ish. There's no good way to avoid it. What I did was let it be curly, and use a lot of bobbypins to make it look all one length. I always pinned up the back and pinned the front of it back away from my face. It ended up looking more like a Jew-fro than a mullet, which I think was an improvement.

As soon as the front had grown out to about chin length, I got the "urban lesbian" haircut - the one that's short and spiky in the back, and long in the front. That was really easy to grow out, and had a lot of styling options.

EDIT: sorry.. I just re-read the question and it sounds like you're already at the second stage. Stop straightening it and just let it be curly.. that'll help disguise the different lengths. Just get it evened out every month or so and it shouldn't get too mullet-y.

cut the bit at the front so it looks even, you won't have to straighten it and curly hair looks nice short. I'm always really jealous of people with nice curly hair, just style it and appreciate it! Then it will grow out normally.

use a wig until it grows out enough... or try hair extensions

Buzz it all off and start over.
