Hi

I agree with you. You should say what you want, when you want and if they dont like it, tough. I enjoy living where I do in England. You can see a doctor anytime, go to hospital anytime and not have to worry about paying for it. I feel it is sad to hear of some stories in America where people are really poorly because they cannot afford the operation. Their life should come first, not the money. We pay through our wages called National Insurance. It is a small percentage deducted, so when you dont see the money, you don't really miss it. It is true about people saying it is a great country to live in. We hear lots of people going to live over there, but I am quite happy where I live.

You have to realize that in politics and religion, there are a lot of strong opinions. You have them and so do others. When you voice your opinions, expect those who disagree with you to criticize you and your opinions.

A lot of people have died or lost loved ones hoping to protect rights many of us now take for granted. This can make some people feel like they have the right to be critical of people who criticize what they have sacrificed for. Those who have experienced such a loss may question your right to be critical when in their view you have sacrificed nothing.

This is wrong, but understandable.

Stand up for what you believe and exercise your right to free speech. But if you want respect, do more than talk. Get involved and make some sacrifices yourself for causes you believe in. Words are strong, but actions are more likely to change minds and gain respect.

There is nothing wrong with you having feedom of speech.... but as i have never met you my only guess is that its not what you say, its the way you say it (as my mum used to say). Hope that helps.

Going by the way you just called someone a pri*ck for just having an opinion of a question you have put on here... doesnt that make you a hypocrite as you are having a go at people not letting you have an opinion???? Dont they have a right for an opinion as well??

It's basically just the hypocrites. Just leave them with their own thoughts. You should feel sorry for them for being so easily susceptible to some idiot's brainwashing and propoganda. Just pity them....pity them.

And, I know this sounds hypocritical in itself, but if you don't like the health care system, why don't you move up to Canada? We got free health care up here, as well as education. Just stay away from Toronto: we're full and don't need any more people. And from someone who's been to New York, we are worse than them in the etiquette category.

I know exactly what you mean. I have said things, and imediatly been bombarded with a whole bunch of people talking about how great our county is... how wonderfull everything is. No one even wants to listen or to pay attention to the issues that are a reality in this country. Then they have the guts to say that you shouldn't say those things, I want to know what happened to the freedom of speech that so many people seem to have forgotten about!

You do have every right to speak your mind and you are right there is to much poverty in this country and far to amny people are dying because they do not have access to health care because it is so expensive. People should not die because they live where the government is more concerned with lining the pockets of the rich and could care less if they need medical care

It's one of the downsides to freedom of opinion.

Whatever your opinion is, there will always be someone who disagrees with you - and they have every right to voice their opinion too.

The silly remarks, from ignorant twits are an indication of a lacking in their education - that they can't force their argument without making a stupid comment like "Why don't you leave then?"

I'm afraid we're all victims of the uneducated.

You have every right to state your opinion that is what the first amendment is about. but you can't state your opinion and not except someone to counteract it for they too are protected under the first amendment too. and you might not like their impute but then again they might not like yours. for the people who tell you to get out of the country the might be shock about your position on the matter and don't really know how to answer it. And if you want your government to get involved that means you have to get involved and that does not mean complaining. Don't except it to happen fast it is a process to change a system.

What is wrong with you giving your opinion about what is wrong with America? Not a thing. You have every right to say whatever you want. You're allowed. You were given that right by the many men and women who have sacrificed their lives to give you that freedom. And you want to complain? Fair enough. But please always remember those that gave you that liberty.
And just as you have the freedom to say what you want about America.... Others have the same liberty to say what they want about you.

"A free society is one where it is safe to be unpopular." - Adlai Stevenson

No man is entitled to the blessings of freedom unless he be vigilant in its preservation. - General Douglas MacArthur
