I wouldn't say that I HATE it, but it does make me shake my head and think "what a waste of bandwidth".
I generally ignore those once I've identified that that's what they are.
Of course, some are so egregious that I can't help but respond.

More like an eye-roll and a dash of sarcasm. I wonder who these spammers think they're impressing, anyway? Do they imagine that all they have to do is chant their magic words at you and you'll convert on the spot?

yes... but I think that it is their way to "spread the gospel", so they can get another "brownie point", because I have found that quite a few christians seem to think that this is the way to heaven.
