That certainly is the ideal community to live in and saying to live by. But as we do live in a world that denies all teachings of the great one, it might be wise to use the "divine gift of our Creator, that of discernment.." For one can certainly love his neighbor as Gods creation, therefor our brother, but one can also hate the behavior and demand that it be changed or change it himself.
Each civilization and individual human contributes something in the way of good to the formation of the good for all to understand and progress to our Creator. However, we are not expected to avoid that which is hard and difficult in the pathway to eternity. Taking a stand for that which is right, still loving the person, but condemning the wrong is the Paramount challenge we fact as mere humans in a material existence.

Best ministry is to love and not preach or teach -- and not think of ourselves as anything special or that we have anything to give to others. Once our selves are out of the way, the love comes through and that's the most powerful teaching there is.

Unless you're into masochism. Then it's fine to not love your neighbor like you love yourself.

I love myself in dirty, dirty ways. My neighbors? Well, I just don't love them in that way. Sorry, hippie.
