Why? Because of the stress and underlying unfair advantages and privlidges in the predominately lower class people stuck in a upper class rule...

Depression is the cause because life has been set up in such a way that you cater to only a few, with a certain mindset and those who don't keep up, and go to school, and learn ON TIME in the way they make you goes against an indivisuals personal needs and stress is the end result.

We are a nation of overworked, underpaid media sensationalized quick fix, fast food people... No other nation in the world works the machine to the detriment of family and health and leaisure time like this one.

Italy and France may not be the conglomerate power that we are... but they are laid back, happier, healthier and THINNER!

Go figure! Stress makes fat! Depression makes Fat...

Art and vacations and leisure and enjoying life makes for a healthy and happy and thin human being.

My lawyer works 10 hour days at least, has trained herself to live on about 4 hours of sleep a night and gets up every morning to Jog at about 4:00 am! She is thin and healthy but she also makes $300.00 per hour and takes a month long vacation every year as a reward.

I'd sacrifice that much of my life if I could go back and do it all over again... Who knew the lowest form of life on the planet would make out so good for a little hard work and sacrifice.

Good breeding and money always leads to more. Everyone less fortunate and not as driven, are fat!

Strangely enough... The wealthy in this country are only about 40% of the population... Funny huh? the rest are depressed, poor and fat! But they work the cog and keep the rich healthy and happy!

It has nothing to do with food quality or intake. Instead obesity levels are rising throughout the developed world. America has a particularly high rate simply because it has a vast population. By this I mean that lifestyle trends are very easily passed from person to person, group to group, this is going to increase in spead with an increase in social interaction (look at china). A reliance and desire for technological advances has quite simply replaced the need for exercise and physical exersion. Hense fat people.

Some answers on here make me laugh.... One answer, they have the best chefs.. ha ha ha. Europe does by far. Another answer was capitalism... ha ha ha. With capitalism you get a choice and the choice is to not eat fatty food. Another answer, cause they have more money, could not be more wrong as the USA have more poverty in their country then any western country.

The reason is a mixture of fast food that is super sized and been available in the USA to a greater extent than any other country and the convenience of it and the lazy people who drive everywhere.

This country is so messed up. I am a person that eats a desent portion of food. But I get is grief from people for not eating like a fuckking slob. One person went as far as to going to a hotline to get me anerexic help because I diet and exercise properly. If people exercise an hour in the morning before breakfast and a hour after supper we would not be fat pigs. When these lazy *** people watch television exercise on a treadmill. People need to get a ******* clue that they are fat and need to loss pounds so they don't die.

I spent 2 weeks there recently. A great hol, but I was amazed at the number of eating places. Too many, per square mile... portions of food are huge, and loaded with fat... maple syrup with almost everything... too many people using cars (drive in eateries) or public transport, instead of walking off all those excess calories and unclogging arteries.

Hang on... that sounds like my lifestyle here in the UK! Damn!

I hav traveled throughout Europe (substantial capital cities of 15 worldwide places and additionally visited some geographical area) and have observed that no longer a lot of human beings there use their autos as much as we do in u . s ., subsequently this motives them to stroll everywhere and in addition they consume way below we do, which in my view is extra healthy and extra low-priced (than payin for gas)... here in u . s . we gained't walk to artwork or college, because of the fact its usually too far away. Its an quite distinctive way of existence than here in u . s ., the place childrens can sit down around on the internet all day and don't something. weight problems outcomes from many different issues additionally...Dont forget we've alot of rapid nutrients resturants that still reason weight problems.

The real answer is simply this, CAPITALISM.
All of the corporations in this country are out for MEGA PROFIT.
We are brainwashed from the beginning of life, to over endulge and absorb as much as we possibly can. This isnt only in food, but everything.
We are taught that more is better, and this spans the entire lifecycle of americans.
We are taught to over consume in everything, because it makes companies more money.
I believe it is also a fact of poor education, in nutrition.

Because people in this country generally have more money to spend on food then in other country's and we have more fast food which is way more fattening then the bread that they have once or twice if there lucky a day in Africa.
