why/why not? what are your arguments for or against GM food? (please add the country you live in)

i think people don't like GM food because it FEELS not safe. scientifically speaking, it's a wonderful technology that solves lots of problems in farming and in giving better quality. GM food has been tested for years and till now there isn't any scientific evidence saying there's sth wrong with it. i guess it's just that people hate it because it involves "playing" with genes.
actually i live in iraq and GM food is not an issue here but i got interested and read about the subject.

they only modify the growth of the food, not the toxines that it carries (if it carries, for example, muchrooms). they wont hurt or modify your DNA, bcz the plants cant modify an other living thing DNA, since virus do, but in this case the DNA modification is made to plants, not virus. and the people must know that the vaccines are modified virus, inserted to the people, and the people are against the GM food, but not the vaccines, and that is an contradictory argument, bcz a vaccine can lead to more damage than a GM. I'm a student of biotecnology. USA

We eat produce for a reason. Raw foods are the only sources of vitamins and minerals some may get in their diets considering this is a fast food nation and so few people cook healthy anymore.
Fresh tomatoes and apples and the rest are vital for health. Natural is always better anything genetically enhanced is crap and it should be made illegal!
It is disgusting and deplorable that they would resort to tampering with our food supply in the name of science!

I am sure it has a future but i would not trust it because i do not believe we have efficient manners of testing. I would not trust it until i am sure we have done every test possible except testing on humans not willing to test. I live in the US but i'm French

one cannot trust G.M.food . they may cause allergy.there may be some difficulty in digetion.
