My boyfriend is the typical 19 year old college boy who likes to party and get drunk every weekend. Its harder for us to spend time together because he works on the weekdays and i work on the weekends. He also keeps telling me that we dont spend much time together because we dont have the weekends to ourselves. But recently my work schedule changed and now I have the weekends off. But when I told him that I have time on the weekends now, he said that he cant spend time with me because thats when him and his friends usually party. But if that was the case, then why did he have a problem about not being able to spend the weekend with me?

Well, you said it yourself, he is a typical 19 year old boy. He likes to spend time with his friends and get drunk. My advice to you is to dump him for someone who is more mature and willing to have a normal relationship. If he was serious about the relationship with you he would say that he needs to spend time with you and let go of his childish ways.

That's not complicated. He's 19..........this is what many 19 y/o's do.....They wanna drink, have sex, see naked women, have sex, drink, drink more and have more sex. What you are looking for is a lapdog or a girlfriend. Let him go have is boy fun.....you move on to find a man that will spend time with you....chances are he's gonna be about 6 or 7 years older.

I always have thought it was good to not abandon your friends for a relationship, but this is taking it overboard. If he can't spend time with you, because he wants to go out drinking, he's not worth it. Drop him, and find someone who cares.

maybe he was trying to make you feel better by acknowledging that you guys dont spend that much time together, but then when it actually happened(time for eachother) he didnt want to give up his favorite things he likes to do. i would talk to hm about it and if he cant make time for you than he is not worth your time. good luck! â¥

He prolly just wanted u to think that he cares but now that your weekends have opened up he regrets his words.......dump him. you'll meet a guy that will WANT to spend time w/u.
