They are a type of dried pea that they used to sell in certain areas in the north of England at fairs etc. They were boiled for ages and then eaten in a cup with vinegar added ! I know that there are certain shops in that part of the world that do sell them but as I live in Cambridgeshire I need them posted. Booths in Blackburn sell them and they used to sell them on Rochdale indoor market.
Any ideas ?
Thanks

I think you are looking for carlin peas- search on that in google or any other search engine and you will get results. BTW to others not from north east of England - these are definitely not blackeyed peas.
