Actually there are plenty that say if you have a blemish you should not approach the altar, so I would think the bible would add to your shame about your appearance. Ignore the mythical god and all people's teachings about it and you will be much better off.
Lev 21:16 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
21:17 Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.
21:18 For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous
it goes on and on...

And God created Man in his image.
Your body is a temple unto God.
You were created in God's image and God gave you a body that is his temple. You should not feel bad about how you look. You look like God. Now the fashion industry has attempted to change what is though of as beautiful.
Did you know that Cleoprata (thought to be the most beautiful woman in the world) was said to weigh 300 pounds!
It wasn't until Twiggy (1960s) that ultra skinny was popular.
Why do you think you are not beautiful? I am assuming that you are a woman since many more women have this self esteem image than men.
Look at the paintings of the great masters. The women are robust and beautiful!
Just remember you are God's creation and mankind is God's greatest achievement here on earth!
Don't try to make yourself like Miss America. Many are solely the result of plastic surgery!
There was an old Twilight Zone (from the 1960s) about a girl that had low self esteem and wanted to be made beautiful. The show was about her surgery. No faces were shown until the last few minutes when they unwrapped her bandages. The doctors and nurses were agasted at how ugly she was, but then they showed her face - she looked just like an everyday person. It was the doctors and nurses that were terribly ugly!
Another Twilight Zone show was about a girl that successfully completed the surgery and she "looked just like everyone else."
No difference.
I hope that helps.

You don't need the bible to raise your self-esteem. Instead of focusing on the negative about yourself, focus on the positive. Look at me, I have glasses, braces, and zit problems. Now that's pretty bad when all put together. But I look at things that I like about me. I make people laugh. I have a sense of humor. I'm not obese. I'm not mutated. I'm intelligent. I'm accepting. I have double-jointed thumbs. I have a great family.
Now, you say "I don't have that stuff," well that's okay because everybody is different. Its an example. Start with "do you make people laugh?" that always goes well.
Don't focus on the negative dude, because there are always people who love you.
However, if you really need a bible verse, then this fact is scattered across the Bible: "God created you" (whether through evolution or not) "in his image. He crafted you the way he wants you to be." Now, if you are good enough for God, you are good enough for everybody else.

High self esteem is a way of the world. If you want to truely feel good about yourself, it is not based on how great you are. It is how great God is and how great he made you. This is a prime example of how living without God leaves a person empty and feeling worthless. Without God we are worthless. We are nothing without him and everything with him. If you want to have inner peace and happiness....there is no magical scripture...it is coming to accepting Christ and walking with him. You are a product of God. You should love God first. Next you must love yourself because you are a special creation of God. When you love yourself you are complimenting God. If a person does not love himself then it tells me that they are living in sin and that is why they have shame and feel guilt. It is impossible to have inner peace and happiness without God. Some pretend they are happy and at peace but they are being decieved and decieving others. They will come to a place of crashing and feeling empty. God will always be there to pick up the peices of the broken hearted. He loves you and all of his children. I recommend that you take the true feelings of your heart to him in prayer. He will show you what you need to do in your life to obtain inner peace. God is not a genie in a bottle nor is the bible a magical book to read and feel better. It is a personal relationship with God. Make him your best friend. He will build you up and never tear you down. He will love you unconditionally. He will bring you joy and happiness. You only need to accept what he offers by confessing your sins with your mouth and with your soul and then walk with him. Your life can and will be better that you could ever imagine if you just let him be God and you live to serve him. Peace and love be with you lost and hurting sister.

Song of Solomon 1:5 Dark am I, yet lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, dark like the tents of Kedar, like the tent curtains of Solomon.
Dark am I yet lovely implies that the "beloved" realized she was lovely despite what were apparently darkness being considered a negative in her day. In spite of whatever you think is wrong with the way you look you are very lovely in God's eyes (maybe men's too, it's amazing the number of attractive women who've convinced themselves they're not). Some think of Song of Solomon as an allegory for God's love for us. Hope this helps...

The book of Ecclesiastes has good answers to "vanity". Parts of chapter 11 are below.
[9] Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.
[10] Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.
This book may give you higher self esteem because being vain brings judgement and it not to be sought after. It will help you find other things to bring your self esteem up without being good looking.

Psalm 31:1-10 (NRSV)
In you, O LORD, I seek refuge;
do not let me ever be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me.
Incline your ear to me;
rescue me speedily.
Be a rock of refuge for me,
a strong fortress to save me.
You are indeed my rock and my fortress;
for your name's sake lead me and guide me,
take me out of the net that is hidden for me,
for you are my refuge.
Into your hand I commit my spirit;
you have redeemed me,
O LORD, faithful God.
You hate those who pay regard to worthless idols,
but I trust in the LORD.
I will exult and rejoice in your steadfast love,
because you have seen my affliction;
you have taken heed of my adversities,
and have not delivered me into the hand of the
enemy;
you have set my feet in a broad place.
Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am in distress;
my eye wastes away from grief,
my soul and body also.
For my life is spent with sorrow,
and my years with sighing;
my strength fails because of my misery,
and my bones waste away.
Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment. (John 7:24)
You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:13-16
God Bless You.

Isaiah 62:2 Reminds me that whatever names I have called myself, or someone has called me, God has given me a new name.
Psalm 139 - He hand created YOU. He carefully and lovingly put every piece of your DNA togther. You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
