If your flying: Wednesday.
Most 3 or 4 day city breakers fly between Thursday and Tuesday.
Hardly anyone flys on a Wednesday.
On the train: any day, there is not much you can do if there is a delay, sit back & relax!
On a bus: any day - someone else has the stress of driving
In a car, any time outside of peak hours during the week.

Whatever "day" you need to! Actually, probably the later at night flights to most destinations would probably have less human traffic on board the average flight, and the costs might be lower as well. GOOD LUCK ! Check it out.
