Don't give your cat any pain reliever without checking with the vet. Cat's are very sensitive to medications and the dosage in an over the counter med not for use in cats would be to strong. Go to DrsFosterSmith.com They are vets, there are pain medications there that are made for cats and are given according to weight and what's causing the pain. Hope this helps

I lived out in the country and had a whole bunch of cats and kittens. This one cat i liked a whole lot went out and got caught in a trap. His poor paw looked sooo bad. I KNEW THAT CAT WAS IN PAIN. I gave him 600mgs of ibuprofen every 6hrs. It really seemed to help him.

aspirin is the drug most often recommended by vets to treat pain in animals . use this only if there is no profuse bleeding . the dosage used should be that listed as for a child under 12 and then use alittle less then that.
wrap in in cheese or his food but you have to watch him to see if he takes it . if not you can open his mouth put the pill in his mouth only then close it and hold it closed until he has swallowed the pill.

Well my cats vet said that we could give my cat childrens benadryl for his allergies, so I don't see why you couldn't give your cat infant tylenol, but a small dosage. You could call you vet and ask him/her. Maybe they have a suggestion.
