I can relate! Home doesn't have to be a traditional family or couple situation. It can be whatever group of people you have over who make you feel the most comfortable and at ease. I have a standing invitation where I live (alone) for my closest friends and a few family members who live nearby, we get together, eat, play games and watch movies. Or sometimes we'll go out on the town or go sledding or something. It's a group I've grown very close too, and I can depend on them for anything. But it took a little time to build that, so be patient. And....you may discover within that group someone who you care more about than the rest....it's often true that a relationship with someone who you were friends with first turns out better.
Try it out! If you widen your circle, it leads to a happier life.

It feels that way until you make it your own. Paint and rearrange. Go shopping and pick up a few things that are your style. Clean the home from top to bottom. Buy the apple cinnamon air freshener oils and plug them in to make if feel more welcoming.
Then start working on yourself, a new haircut, some new clothes and do what I call a "get yourself together day". I have been through this and doing this stuff helped me.

Sure it is. It's a place of refuge if nothing else and you should be completely comfortable in your home. The decor makes a home alot of times. Decorate your house to be a representation of yourself. If you can be comfortable in it, it IS your home! I'm single with a teenage daughter who is never home, but I still feel like it's our home, not just a house. It's a complete reflection of myself, the decor, the organization, the cleanliness, etc. It's a place where I feel safe and always available to accept company, mine or my daughters. They all feel the same way, because of the way we live. Everyone who comes comments that my house is also their sanctuary.

You need to feel it from within even if u are single or u are married. Many married people cant make their house into a home similarly many singles make their house into a home. Do regular cleaning of house and also have lots of frames of your loved ones.

Where ever you live is your home. for it truly to become yours you just have to accept that fact. You might look at why you need a partner, to make a house a home. as a home is a possession, and a partner, can some times make it more enjoyable, but does not complete your life

You can make your house into a home by decorating to your tastes. Make it cozy, so that when you come home you feel relaxed. Put pictures up of things that inspire, or intrigue you. Make it look like you ENJOY being there, when people come into your house, and it looks like you feel comfortable there, they will realize that this house is really a home. Good luck.

It is if you share it with people you love. Invite friends over for a game night. do the little things that you normally would have done if someone was living there. Flowers always make a place look, feel, and smell nice.

That is a matter of choice. Many people live alone and have made a cozy, comfortable home. Surround yourself with things you like...paint your favorite colors...hang your favorite art. You cannot depend on other people to provide your happiness. Make yourself happy...then someone may want to share your journey

Have your friends and your family more often. Make it a place to socialize, and you'll feel better. Also, personalize it however you want, and it'll feel like a home just for you.
