I find those unemocratically elected leaders such as Bush and Blair tiresome. The British people never wanted war. Who the hell are those jerks to defy our will. It is daily carnage in Iraq. And yes...I am an ex-soldier

Brown was apparantly against the war at first, but caved in to Blair's desires out of fear. What a cnut!

I think pride does not come into the equasion. How can it when thousands of innocent iraqi men women and children have perished.British soldiers were sent to a war that was based on lies and propaganda. The casualties of war are but a name and number to the heads of government. They can never feel the pain and suffering of the families that are left grieving. They might as well say "we lied, and for that you died"How can they possibly be proud of that.Ashamed is what they should feel...but somehow i doubt that they do.

I imagine they are very proud of British troops. I am..
If you believe the war is right or wrong it doesn't really matter what does is that the family of the soldier who died are looked after and supported through there loss not used to argue if troops should or not be in Iraq.

My hubby is a para, he went to Iraq for six months..and came back in one piece (thankfully!)
The Brits should have left that country a long time ago!
My hubby does his job, yes but he doesn't have to agree with it..he hated it out in Iraq, but Blair is so far up Bush's bum that he doesn't seem to care about them coming home in body bags, it's about time he concentrated on the state of Britain rather than other countries!

I do not think Brown has been an avid supporter of this invasion. However Blair clearly has. I doubt another death will change his zealous approach one jot. God protect us from zealots

I find this type of Question Depressing and Tiresome - of course they are not proud , in fact the very opposite , but in reality what option have our leaders of the "Free World" got but to continue with the present Job in hand , when the Lunatics in the Middle East are continuing with their Procurement and Development of Nuclear Weaponry , for the purpose of destroying the Western World .

ONE, just one. I doubt that would even warrant a memo!!
I think it needs to be in the hundreds before they even try to show the slightest bit of indifference..

They're neither proud nor ashamed, I suspect. Try 'indifferent.'
