You pose an interesting question. Your relationship with God is personal, one on one. The kind of person you are and how you live your life will dictate your delivery from an eternal death. God created you as an individual with free will. How you interact with people, animals and most importantly, God will count on judgement day. I do not believe in organized religion. If your heart is good and you treat people with respect and dignity, help out in your community to build a better place for everyone and thank God for his many blessings you are on the right path. Just live your life treating all people and things as you wish to be treated, never judge another person and always understand that we are all the same. God loves you for you and he knows your heart and soul. He will never give you anything more than you can handle and will always comfort you in any situation. You need to have faith and believe in him, and he will in turn deliver you.

The only way to eternally separate yourself from God is to reject His son, Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches us that Christ came into the world not to condemn humans, but to save the whole world. I believe that you are sincere in your question; and I have wonderful news for you. If you do accept Christ's perfect life, death and resurrection, then God won't ever judge you at all. Never. When He looks at you, He will only see the righteousness of Christ instead of any bad thing you have ever done. This doesn't mean that you will live a sinless life or that God won't correct you when you do sin. It does mean that you won't have to worry about God's eternal punishment toward you. This wonderful lifestyle is what the Bible means when it says that Christ gives "peace that passes all understanding." Once you meet Christ, all the old questions will go away. This is true, too: you can pray that God will show himself to you in His own way and time. You can also pray for faith, and He will give you that, too. He is listening.

Jesus told us that many people will think they are christians, and are not, that many will be deceived. Paul tell us to examine ourselves to see if we are "in the faith". In my lifetime, the whole gospel message has been rewritten by a new generation of young people and many of us old folks are calling it "easy believeism". Jesus asked "When I return will I find faith on this earth?" and Pauls warns us over and over that before the return of Christ the church will fall away from the faith and will become lukewarm. It is no wonder that many like you and I are asking this question, How do I know if I am really saved, or am I one who is deceived.
I live with a terminal illness, and do not know how much time I have left and I am very concerned about these issues. I have gone back to look closely at the Bible teaching on salvation which is so different from this new idea that you just have to "accept Jesus" into your heart and He will saved you. Thee is no scripture for that in the Bible and if fact that teaching is younger than I am. The key to salvation lies in Lordship, and that is what "accepting Jesus" totally ignores. Read Rom 10:9 "that (L)if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and (M)believe in your heart that (N)God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."
The key here is confessing Chrst as Lord. When Christ becomes Lord, there is such peace in your life because you no longer are striving, but only submitting. You no longer seek to change things, but accept things as from the Lord. The Battle is His, the work (of redeemng you) is His, And we just rest in what He has done for us. We follow what He says in His word, and leave everything else to Him.

Read John 3 at Biblegateway.com. We are condemned already when we are born.
Yes, God can love you and forgive you so that you can go to Heaven when you die.
It is explained well how this can take place in 2wtl. See site below.
Read the Bible.
Study the Bible.
Listen to good sermons.
Sing unto the Lord.
Pray.

If all the energy that was wasted every single day by everyone on the planet worrying about crap like this was put to good use, we would have all diseases cured and be living on Mars by now.
But it's easier to speculate about the unknown than it is to take action. Sadly, a lot of people never get over this and become burdens on everyone else around them.

it is by faith that we believe, there is nothing that we can do to earn salvation, we need to live a life that turns away from sin and love the Lord our God with all of heart, not just when we feel like it.

Jesus died for everyone including you. ask Him to forgive your sins and live in your heart and you will be saved. read His Word and let Him speak to you and know for sure if you were to die today that you would go to heaven by His shed blood on the cross.

God does not condemn people - nasty self serving Christians do that. God seeks to forgive. All those hate emotions and dire warnings of doom are from misinformed and extreme Christians do not believe them.
Find an honest church that tells of Christian love.
Don't worry those preaching hate and condemnation will have a lot to answer for in the final coming!!!!

God love you as a son. You can decide to love Him as a son or not to do it. Condemnation or redemption will be decided by God when ha will decide to do it. You are not condemned now. This is what I think, I'm catholic I have to say it to explain my position.

The only hope for anyone of us is to turn from our sin and turn in faith towards Jesus Christ who died in your place and mine when He hung on Calvary's cross. Turning from your sin means you are sorry for what you have done, (repentance), and asking Jesus to forgive you for your sins means you are trusting that He paid for them with His death, burial and resurrection, which proved death had no power over Him; for He was the sinless Son of God. Once you do that, you cannot believe what a change He will make in your life! Trust me; I've NEVER been the same, and I've never regretted my decision to go with GOD!
