If you want to know if a coffee capsule from one make will fit another well NO, it is done an purpose, so you buy the coffee capsule that goes with that machine, the NESPRESSO range is quite expensive for a cup, The best way if you want to try different brands is the type of machine that uses the round tea bag type portions as they are the same in all that type of machine, take a good look before you buy and work out how much each coffee portion costs , you will be surprised.

No they are not compatible. I have had 2 senseo machines. They both leaked. I am thinking of buying a Krups Dolce Gusto (84.99) from Amazon. I tried a cup of coffe at a demo in Tesco. The coffee was really hot and simple to make. You have to put cleaning fluid in a Tassimo machine, Which is probably expensive. Also, the shelf life of the Dolce Gusto pods is 12 months.

They use different "packs" - the Senseo machine uses coffee bags (like Tetley tea bags) whereas the Tassimo takes little plastic containers (similar to the milk you get in some restauants).
Lots of stores do their own brand of coffee bags which work fine in a Senseo (Tesco & Makro at least)

Can only speak for Tassimo - it has very specific pods with coffee, tea, chocolate etc inside and will only fit Tassimo machines I believe. Unlike the previous comment, you don't have to put 'cleaning fluid' in them - just use a cleaner disc and run clear water thro' a couple of times. Ours leaks though - but on the whole a pretty good cup of coffee - I particularly like the purple Caffe Crema discs.

You could use the same coffee in any of them. But, in some cases, the coffee might have to be ground finer or coarser.

If you have one of these machines you are stuck with having to buy their coffee - and they control the price. Get a regular expresso machine and you can buy your own beans from wherever you wish.
